Abstract: Freezing in measurement and pressure regulating equipment is a problem faced in virtually all phases of the gas industry, from the well head to the low pressure town plant systems. The degree of the problems will depend on the amount of pressure reduction, quantity of water, and hydrocarbons in the gas being regulated or measured. The problems most frequently occur during peak winter flow operations when our systems are required to function under adverse conditions.
