Title: Instrumentation And Volume Calculation For P.D. And Turbine Meters

Abstract: When metering large volumes of gas at elevated pressures using rotary, or turbine meters, it is customary to supplement the meter with an instrument which will correct the metered volume to base conditions. This paper will refer to the installation and maintenance procedures of the Continuous Integrating, Base Pressure and Base Volume Indexes. A Base Pressure Continuous Integrator is a mechanical instrument which by means of a pressure sensing element, a rotating disc, ring and shaft assembly, continuously applies the pressure factor to the metered volume as the gas is flowing.
