Abstract: Transfer provers are a familiar piece of test equipment throughout the natural gas industry. Portable transfer provers, in particular, have become nearly indispensable in facilitating economical periodic testing of industrial size meters. The value users attach to these units is well deserved. They are ruggedly constructed, compact and require a minimal amount of maintenance. Set up is simple and operation is straight forward. Within the limitations of the actual ambient conditions, transfer provers provide accurable, repeatable test results.
