Abstract: This report reviews the steps taken by PSE&G to develop and implement a centralized Material Salvage Center for its Gas T&D Department. The economical factors which influenced the Company into concentrating its efforts to reduce materieil costs are reviewed. Significant cost savings experienced at the Salvage Center are outlined, as well as, the accounting procedures used to determine the savings.
