Abstract: Prior to the startup of our new Measurement Service Center at Shawnee, Oklahoma, we had two meter shops-one in Tulsa and one in Oklahoma City. A number of factors were involved in our decision to change to a single centrally located shop. In the first place, transportation of the meters to and from the two shops had become an increasingly difficult problem. Also, as the load on our service operation continued to grow, it became obvious that we would have to expand our facilities and there just wasnt any space available for expansion at the Tulsa and Oklahoma City locations.
