Abstract: I am sure that managements view on corrosion control will vary to some extent from company to company and from manager to manager. Therefore, my comments today will be based upon my personal experience, observations and opinions. 1 would guess that my introduction to corrosion control and the opinions I have formed in the meantime are not too different from those of many engineers who started their careers with gas utility companies shortly after World War II.
