Abstract: Task Group 81B, Large Commercial and Industrial Meter Installation Design, was established at a 1981 meeting of the A.G.A. Operating Sections Distribution Design and Development (DDD) Committee. The scope of the newly formed task group was: To investigate and report on the recommended practice in the gas industry for design of commercial and industrial meter installations, including load gathering methods and inlet pressure requirements design aspects, such as equipment selection and layout, protection from weather, vandalism and accidental damage aesthetics effect of operating and maintenance procedures on design.
