Abstract: Using Coriolis meters for crude oil custody transfer measurement is a new thing for TransCanada It is being looked at because of some key performance characteristics: has minimal maintenance costs has no moving parts are relatively indestructible: cannot get over sped or damaged by gas bubbles has smart meter diagnostics (the ability to alarm if the meter is sick).
