Abstract: The Equipment Information System currently used at the Edison Company, went online approximately three years ago. Although, as with any complex system, it is under constant review and minor change, the initial objectives of the system have been met-mainly, to provide timely information to involved individuals in order to provide a viable tool for utilization in the decision process necessary for effective management.
