Abstract: Zerodur is a glass-ceramic produced by Schott Glaswerke in Germany, and recently by Schott Glass Technologies Inc. in the United States. It is a highly homogeneous material of almost zero thermal expansion. This paper describes several measurement and control instrumentation applications, including Interferometry and Dilatometry, as well as hiqhliqhts on Zerodurs unique properties.
