Abstract: Production, transportation and distribution of natural gas and liquids, where the rate of flow is large and can be easily measured by a flat plate orifice in an orifice meter section is commonly called a meter run. Simplicity is the outstanding feature of the flat plate orifice as a device for producing a pressure loss necessary for measurement.
