Abstract: Orifice meters are popular as they are simple, generally inexpensive & reliable, however there is a long held axiom throughout industry that orifice meters have no internal diagnostics. A flow meter diagnostic system is desirable for several reasons: guarantees meter performance therefore reducing exposure to measurement error.
