Abstract: A direct reading online odorization monitor has been developed. A direct readout of odorant added is achieved by interfacing a signal processor with an electrolytic sulfur titrator system. A direct reading odorization monitor is very practical and has significant potential for odorization control systems. Where background sulfurs are low but variable the odorani added can effectively be determined with this system. Odorization monitoring is essential for a number of reasons but the principal ones are safety and compliance with state and federal regulatory agency requirements, as well as company policy.
