Title: Progress Report On A.G.A. Study Of Heat Exchanger Corrosion By Air Contaminants
Author: Frank E. Belles, Edward Macanga, Jr.

Year Published: 1977
Abstract: Candidate heat-exchanger materials expected to be more resistant than the commonly used 10l0 steel to the accelerated corrosion caused by halogen-containing air contaminants were screened by laboratory tests. These tests identified fourteen materials which are ten to a hundred times more resistant. Three were selected for fabrication into heat exchangers, which will be subjected to severe cyclic furnace operation in the final phase of this project.
