Title: The Practical Uncertainty Of Proved And Unproved Meters For Liquid Hydrocarbon Measurement
Author: Terry Cousins
Source: 2017 South East Asia Flow Measurement Conference
Year Published: 2017
Abstract: The paper compares the potential performance of a l iquid custody transfer flow meters in the field when calibrated at a laboratory and operated in the filed without proving, and then with the same meter if it calibrated on site, using in- situ proving. The paper concentrates on the resulta nt uncertainties, not as a theoretical concept but in practical terms, to be o btained by both methods. The objective is not to produce a paper on detailed unc ertainty methods but to give a real idea of the issues that will affect the uncert ainty, and some view as to the relative importance of each issue
