Abstract: Ultrasonic meters have been in common use since AGA Report 9(1) was published in 1998. During the past twelve years there have been significant advances made by the ultrasonic meter manufacturers to develop several diagnostics to maintain the integrity of installed meters. These diagnostics are necessary to evaluate the proper function of the meters and may also provide indications of developing trouble for which the operators may take remedial action.
