Abstract: During the past few decades, the natural gas liquids industry has undergone many changes. Volumetric measurement of mixed product has given way to mass measurement flat rate pricing of mixed product streams has given way to pricing of individual components such as ethane (C2), propane (C3), isobutane (IC4), normal butane (NC4), and gasoline. The need to quantify the components of a mixed stream is vital to the measurement process. Gas liquid chromatography lends itself exceptionally well to this task.
