Abstract: The need to measure temperature and pressure has become a fundamental and essential requirement in the process industry. This paper reviews the various pressure and temperature measurement devices used for hquid service. It looks at the principles of measurement, the types of instruments available, selection and suitability of each and also at the broad applications of tliese measurements for hquid service. Finally, this paper briefly discusses tlie future trend in instrumentation for measurements of this kind.
