Abstract: Dr. R. W. Beatty. of the National Bureau of Standards, has defined generalized voltages and currents, for waveguides, which behave in a similar nay to the voltages and currents used in conventional lumped-circuit analysis. This significant advance makes it possible to apply conventional circuit theory to mathematically rigorous analyses of waveguide circuits.
