Abstract: Regulator freezing is a phenomenon that can occur with pressure reduction of natural gas. This phenomenon is due to the absorption of heat as the pressure of a gas is reduced and the gas expands. This effect is known as the Joule - Thompson effect named for James Joule and William Thompson who in 1852 developed a number of formulae to predict this effect
