Title: Proving Diapragm Type Positive Displacement Gas Meters
Author: Howard W. Berghegger
Source: 1971 Appalachian Gas Measurement Short Course
Year Published: 1971
Abstract: Many provers room designs and procedures in use today were formulated many years ago when accepted meter performances were 1 or 3% error. Today, meter performances are approaching .2 or .3% , but unfortunately these requirements, in most cases, are trying to be accomplished by using the same original prover room design and procedures. When laboratory test results are required, a prover room is no longer just a prover room, it must be a gas measurement equipment testing laboratory with all designs, equipment, and procedures comparable to the expected end measurement results.
