Abstract: Discussions on electronic gas measurement must necessarily be targeted to specific types of measurement devices and the types of information to be conveyed. To address these two points, it is important to note that the type of measurement that I will discuss today, is orifice measurement. The information that I will address has regard to flow computer operation after initial installation and how this operation might influence buying decisions. To begin, there are several manufacturers now offering flow computer technology. Some manufacturers have been around for many years, while others have evolved seemingly overnight. The reason for the influx of electronic gas measurement technology has regard to several givens that should be mentioned, at least briefly.
