Abstract: Liquid Carbonic Industries had constructed a high purity methane LNG production facility at Willis, Texas to meet the need for clean burning alternative liquid fuels in the Southwest. Liquid Carbonic commissioned Chicago Bridge & Iron Company to design and construct the facility on a turnkey basis. This is the first dedicated commercial plant constructed to supply LNG as a vehicle fuel. The plant started operations in late 1994, and produces high purity 99.5% methane vehicle fuel.
