Abstract: Rehabilitation of pipelines has increased in recent years due to the continued aging of existing pipelines and their coatings. Many are approaching or exceeding the design life expectancy and are deteriorating, which is a major concern to pipeline operators and owners. As a pipeline deteriorates, the operator must decide how to maintain the pipeline in order to sustain product transmission. In making this decision, the operator has two main concerns:
