Abstract: Standardization of the methods used to measure natural gas flowing through a pipeline is valuable for many reasons. It provides a framework for designing , constructing, operating, and maintaining the measurement equipment in a consistent manner, which helps minimize cost and ensures consistent performance of the metering systems. Those metering technolo gies that receive consensus recognition as a standard method typically are selected for custody transfer measurement applications.
