Abstract: Trunkline LNG Company, a subsidiary of Trunkline Gas Company, has substantially completed construction of an LNG import terminal at Lake Charles, Louisiana. The facility includes three LNG storage tanks, each with a capacity of 600.000 barrels, constructed by PDM Corporation. This paper discusses some of the safety features and accessories furnished with the tanks. Items discussed include foundations, piping, instrumentation, spill protection and fire protection.
