Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to examine the design and development of High Capacity Liquid Measurement Systems. Major emphasis will be on the discussion of the current state-of-the-art in the design of these systems with regard to hardware implementation and performance capability as applied to petroleum service. However, many of the principles discussed can also be applied to other industrial and commercial applications. A brief overview of the historical evolution of high capacity liquid measurement system components will be included together with a discussion on the future projection development of these systems.
