Abstract: Unaccounted-For Gas can be defined as the difference between the volume of gas purchased and the* volume of gas sold plus the volume of gas that can be accounted for. The difference then is the volume of gas that can not be properly accounted for and tnds up as a loss or in some cases a gain. For the purpose of this paper, we will discuss losses as it pertains to causes of discrepancies and leakage. In addition, attention will be given to some areas to be watched in controlling Unaccounted-For Gas. This paper is not intended to be an absolute answer to the problem, only a few suggestions in discovering possibilities that cause unaccounted for losses.
