Abstract: The paper presents the effects of change of terminations and offsets, the effects of using adapters in the reflection measurement setups based on Computer Controlled Automated Scalar Network Analyzer System (Wiltron). The effect of change in magnitude of reflection coefficient in the low and high return loss range, measured with different standing wave ratio (SWR) autotesters (namely, 97A50-1, 560-97A50-1) using different Open/Shorts (namely, 22A50, 22N50), alone and through the Air Line, has been examined. The results are compared with the Ripple Extraction method that uses 59A50 SWR autotester for measurement. A brief description of setups is also given.
