Abstract: My experience with this subject has to do with a Gas Measurement Department which is headquartered in a central office. The field technicians work directly for a field supervisor and he reports to the office management. I realize that there are some companies which are not organized in this manner hut we feel this type of organization provides us an excellent operation. Close team-work and cooperation between the field personnel and office personnel are a must if an efficient operation and good results are to be obtained. I will present several ways in which the relationship between the field and office might be improved.
