Abstract: Electronic pressure and temperature transmitters are widely used throughout the hydrocarbon processing industiy and are some of the most critical components of process measurement and control. Their function is to measure a pressure or temperature, convert that measurement to an electronic signal and transmit that signal to a read-out or control device, such as a computer or RTU. In order to realize the maximum benefit of such transmitters, they must first be properly installed, calibrated and maintained.
