Abstract: This paper describes the evolution of a Pressure Control Program instituted at Con Edison to reduce leakage in the low-pressure gas distribution system. The program is a joint effort of personnel of Central and Division Gas Operations with support and guidance of Research and Development. It details the testing and evaluations used to quantify the expected benefits of the program and the results of the program to date. The paper also discusses Con Edisons plans for continued development and deployment of this technology.
