Title: Measurement And Operation For LNG

Abstract: In February of this year Transcos LNG Plant sent out over 450 MMscf of natural gas. This climaxed several years of planning, designing, construction, and operation dating back to 1959. After customer requirements were determined and after many economic feasibility studies were made, a contract was signed with Constock-Pritchard Liquefaction Corporation in 1963. This contract provided that Constock-Pritchard would construct a plant in New Jersey Meadows. In July of 1963, F.P.C. approval was received to construct and operate an LNG Plant, which would have a storage capacity of 290,000 barrels of LNG equivalent to one billion cubic feet of gas at standard conditions, liquefaction capacity to fill the storage unit in 200 days, and sendout facilities for 200 MMscf per day.
