Abstract: This presentation firstly gives a brief introduction about Chinas metrology infrastructure main topics covered are the administrative system, the legal system, the technical system, and the traceability system. Besides, additional introduction was given to the National Institute of Metrology (NIM), China, a key element in Chinas metrology system that plays a very unique and pivotal role in facilitating the countrys international trade and promoting the building of a more harmonious society. NIMs mission, function, R&D programs and its second experimental base are introduced.
