Abstract: The primary function of a field meter man is to inspect, operate and maintain instruments in the field connected with the control and measurement of gas. TliE functions of an individual meter man will depend upon the amount and type of equipment which his company uses in his territory. The various other papers on the program will detail the functions connected with specific pieces of equipment. The purpose of this paper is to outline in a general way the various duties that are usually assigned to meter men.
