Abstract: It should come as no surprise to anyone in the gas control arena that the technology of the gas control system is changing dramatically. Furthermore, although a blow to the ego, the gas distribution industry is not the driving force behind this technological change. Lets face it, the gas industry has neither the money nor the time to spend in a mass technological explosion of this type. With this in mind let us explore what the computer industry will do to, er.., for us in the gas control system of the future.
