Abstract: This paper demonstrates Coriolis mass flowmeters can provide a solution for measuring the mass flov*Tate of gases directly with no knowledge of the gas properties. Test results for natural gas and compressed air presented here were obtained using a standard factory water calibration. This demonstrates that properly designed Coriolis meters are linear devices and can provide accurate results independent of gas composition over wide ranges of pressure and mass flowrate.
