Abstract: The mathematics underlying the study of error and uncertainty propagation in test and measurement processes is non-trivial. In a widely studied model, for example, it requires the numerical evaluation of double integrals involving the bivariate normal distribution. In the past the results of such studies have been presented in tabular form, and more recently, through interactive computer programs.
