Abstract: Tunable Laser Diode Spectroscopy (TDLAS) is rapidly becoming the measurement technology of choice for continuous online moisture measurement in natural gas. Natural gas is dehydrated and treated prior to transportation and use. The removal of water from natural gas is of considerable cost to the supplier and consumer. Reducing dehydration costs is a tradeoff between profits and the reduction of gas quality. Water increases maintenance cost within the gas pipeline infrastructure.
