Abstract: A computer model is really just a mathematical model that happens to be implemented on a computer. A mathematical model is a system of equations that is analogous to a physical system. Inputs to the system of equations in the form of the assignment of values to parameters produce outputs in the form of parameter values that behave as the physical system that is the subject of the model would.
