Abstract: The ironclad meter is a dry positive meter using two leather diaphragms. It is made in sizes No 1, 300 cubic foot per hour, No 2, 500 cubic foot per hour, No 3, 800 cubic foot per hour, No 4 1500 cubic foot per hour. In the Ironclad meter the inlet is on the left hand side when facing the meter dial. If this is kept in mind, a meter need never be set backwards.
