Abstract: The gas meter Is often referred to as the cash register of the industry, and indeed it is. Although we in the meter repair business have always tried for accuracy, the recent increases in the price of gas have made greater accuracy more imperative. In the case of the company I am with, we built a new meter shop. We had two shops, neither of which were air-conditioned. The new central shop that replaced these two is air-conditioned to improve the proof tests of the meters. It is also much more comfortable for the employees.
