Abstract: Sonic nozzles have been used in the laboratory for gas meter calibrations for several years however, it has been only recently that sonic nozzles have been used to calibrate gas meters in the field. In addition to the operating characteristics of sonic nozzles, this paper gives actual test results of field calibrations.
