Abstract: In this paper the operation of a real life metering skid is discussed on the basis of general UFM principles, current and working standards/recommendations, and related to non-conformant results that were recorded during in-series meter proving. Data is shown for (i) normal operating conditions, (ii) in-series meter proving, and (iii) metering runs with and without a Flow Conditioner (FC). The paper provides an insight in to theoretical and practical engineering resulting in experiential learning for UFM Metering Skid design. The paper is written to comply with the guidelines: natural gas measurement unique operational problem current research activities and primary device ultrasonic.
