Abstract: The paper describes the possibility of employing methods of mass calibration without using sensitivity weights with regards to traditional equal arm balance, one pan opticalmechanical balance, and new electronic balances. The possibility of accelerating the mass calibration process without significant effect on reported uncertainty is also explored as an option, based on accumulated data as well as new experiments. The old direct observation method is offered as an attractive alternative due the short time involved and therefore less calibration cost.
