Abstract: The AGA started work on orifice metering in the 1920s The first report, AGA Report No. 1 was published in 1927 Additional research was conducted and in 1935, Report no. 2 was issued Report No. 3 was first issued in 1955 Updated in 1969, 1975, and 1983. All of these versions used essentially the same data, and the Buckingham equation for discharge coefficient.
