Abstract: How far is up? How long is a piece of string? How big is Big? The answers to these questions all have one thing in common: they are relative. In the early twentieth century, 20 miles per hour was considered a fast speed. Today, a spaceship traveling to the moon will reach speeds in excess of 20,000 miles per hour. As this same type of evolution has occurred in the size of ships (tankers), so have the flow rates increased that fill these tankers.
