Abstract: This presentation traces the history of communications and computer based teleprocessing at Mountain Fuel Supply Company. It shows how these systems have been united to better serve both the company and its customers. Mountain Fuels private communications systems have expanded into almost every pan of the companys operations. The companys mobile communication system is one of the most fully utilized of any in the country, making use of selective calling, paging, remote control of base stations, mobile teleprinting, mobile data transmission and the latest in dispatching techniques and equipment.
