Abstract: For this discussion the term Field Measurement at High Pressure shall be defined as the measurement of gas at a specific point in a gas producing area at a pressure higher than that of your contract base pressure. The rapidly increasing value of natural gas due to the increasing scarcity of natural gas supplies, along with rising operating costs, have made accurate gas measurement a vital necessity for the natural gas industry. Any error made in the measurement of gas at high pressure and large volumes magnifies itself, so that there can be either a considerable gain or loss in revenue.
