Abstract: The objective of KeySpan Energys Transmission Pipeline Integrity Management Program is to provide a safe and reliable mode of transporting natural gas energy to our customers in compliance with existing and future regulatory requirements. KeySpan will use existing tools & emerging technology to accomplish this mission. The technology and tools utilized will include a mixture of both prescriptive and performance parameters. This will include internal inspection, pressure testing and direct assessment of the pipeline. The sequence of internal inspections, pressure testing, direct assessment and subsequent repairs will be determined using a risk based model with personal safety as the first requirement.
